Itinerary
Day 1
A representative of Costa Rican Resource will meet you at the airport
and take you to the Hostel where you will begin your week.
Day 2
Travel to Poas Volcano. This is the second largest
active crater in the world and the most popular visited national park in
Costa Rica. You will be able to walk right up to the crater’s edge and look
into the volcano. After the Volcano make the 30 minute drive to La Paz
Waterfall Gardens. This is surely the best way to see some of the most
amazing waterfalls in a beautiful cloud-forest setting. Walk behind, over,
and under huge watefalls surrounded by lush tropical rainforest.
Day 3
Make the short drive to the 210ft waterfall of Los Chorros where
you will practice your rappel skills and go, down the fall as many times
as you want. The waterfall is a beautiful 210ft strait drop and when you
rappel down it you swing behind it and enjoy the views of the river and forest.
After you rappel down the fall hike and see another even bigger fall.
You will then make the drive to Grecia which was voted the cleanest
town in all of Latin America where you will enjoy your lunch.
Day 4
The river Pacuare is voted one of the five most popular rivers
in the world. It's a beautiful 20 miles of rainforest that you will raft,
passing by huge waterfalls, swimming in canyons, and of course navigating
through some class 3 & 4 rapids.
Day 5
The most active volcano in Costa Rica is the Arenal Volcano.
The perfectly cone-shaped volcano is home to a constant pour of lava
running down its slopes. You will first visit the famous La Fortuna
Falls where you will swim in one of Costa Rica's best swim holes and
then go and visit the volcano. In the afternoon, we will be swinging
from mountain top to mountain top about 900ft above the ground which
is the zipline tour of Arenal with views of the volcano.
Day 6
Today you will drive to the top mountain ridge of the central valley
and take a horseback ride. You will be on a horse for about 3 hours and
have views to your right of the Central Valley and views to your left
of the Pacific Coast line. The cool mountain weather makes this ride very relaxing.
Day 7
Visit Costa Rica 's most popular beach and where the rainforest meets the coas
t at the National Park of Manuel Antonio . Walk through the rainforest and
see plenty of monkeys running on the sand or hanging from the trees and swim
in the waters of the National Park or just hang out on the white sandy beaches.
