L&L Cacao is a Spanish language school located just outside of the town of Alajuela about 7 miles South of the town of Grecia. Our school is located in the foothills of the Poas Volcano. There's a sugar plantation in front of our school and behind us a beautiful view of coffee plantations. We chose the location to give students an opportunity to study and immerse themselves in a typical Costa Rican village. Our location outside of the Americanized cities gives the students a feel for the culture of Costa Rica. Cacao is very safe, friendly and hospitable. Our Cacao school offers a great price for a week or months of studying Spanish. For $195/week students receive 20 hrs of Spanish instruction (our teachers are members of the community), a typical Costa Rican homestay with 3 meals a day and laundry once a week. With our homestays you can use the conversational skills you have learned. Our selected families will welcome you into their homes. Here you will enjoy their hospitality, typical Costa Rican meals and definitely make new friends. Our school is an economic boost to Cacao, helping supplement the income of the homestay families.

A $100 deposit will be required and can be paid via credit card using PayPal and will be applied towards your tuition which includes all required books.
