This is a package for those adventurous rafters who would like to stay wet the whole trip. This is a chance to get to know many of the rivers in Costa Rica and do some site seeing. We will raft class III & IV rivers in various parts of the country. Discover some of Costa Rica’s most popular rivers and then some not so popular rivers.

  • Day 1
    Arrive (Manuel Antonio Beach Resort) Today you will fly into the San Jose airport and drive 3 ½ hours to the famous beach of Manuel Antonio. The best part about Costa Rica is that the mountains meet the sea, so you can raft rivers in the morning and sit on the beach in the afternoon.

  • Day 2
    Raft Savegre River (Manuel Antonio) Today will be your first day of rafting the Savegre River on the Pacific side of the country. The run is beautiful and is famous for “Boca Diablo” which is a wave train that is worth running numerous times. This river is surrounded with beautiful scenery and a chance to see toucans and the famous tapir.

  • Day 3
    Naranjo River in Duckies (Manuel Antonio Beach Resort) Today we will get into some two-man duckies and wind our way down the technical river Naranjo. This is a river that we put in and out in around 2 hours leaving plenty of time to hang out at the beach and visit the most famous beach in Costa Rica the National Park Manuel Antonio.

  • Day 4
    Drive to Central Valley (Central Valley Hotel) We drive back to the Central Valley today through coffee plantations and stop along the coast at a famous crocodile area.

  • Day 5
    River Pejibaye (Turrialba Lake Resort)

    We’ll raft the Pejibaye River today to warm us up for some of the best rafting in the country. We are now in the area of Turrialba, which is home to all the best rafting- rivers of Costa Rica. This is a beautiful area and the hotel these two nights is one of the highlights of the trip. We will have great views of the lake and Turrialba volcano from our balconies. The Pejibaye river is a crystal clear run with some very technical class IV’s in its upper section.

  • Day 6
    Raft Pacuare (Turrialba Lake Resort)

    Without question the most famous river in the country is the Pacuare River. This is a chance to run what National Geographic calls one of the top five rivers in the world. With enormous canyons and a ride through the center of the rainforest, this river is filled with untouched 200ft waterfalls. The run is around three hours and has over 50 rapids and some big water class IV’s.

  • Day 7
    Pascua and then drive to Arenal (Arenal Resort)

    If you like adventure then this is about as high as we can go. This is a continous class IV river and although it is only two hours it is non-stop action. I think the scenery is good but it is hard to tell because all you remember is rowing like heck! When we get out of the river we will sleep in the bus and drive three hours to the northern part of the country.

  • Day 8
    Raft River Toro (Arenal Resort)

    Today we will be in a well-known area of the country – Arenal. Here there is a perfectly cone-shaped volcano that has lava pouring down it’s side more than 20 times a day. We will be running the River Toro, another class III & IV canyon type run with excellent rapids and views.

  • Day 9
    Drive back to Central Valley Hotel (Central Valley Hotel)

    Today we will drive back to the Central Valley and get ready to catch you flight the following day. On the way home we will drive past the beautiful La Paz Waterfalls.
